Motor Vehicle Registration
Vehicles can be registered during regular office hours. Please bring your current registration(s) and driver’s license with you. If you are registering a vehicle that is new to you, you must present a Statement of Origin or a valid Title for vehicles year 2000 to the present or for trailers 3001 lbs. and over. Vehicles older than this or trailers less than 3001 lbs., require a bill of sale and one of the following:
1. A valid Title
2. A previous NH registration
3. A completed Vin Verification form
(available at the office or online on the NH-DMV website)
If you wish to transfer your plates to another vehicle, you must surrender your present registration to the State of NH. Should you lose your registration or require a replacement, you can purchase one at the town office.
Voter registration forms and Absentee Ballots for Federal and State Elections are available at the office. Residents also have to come to the office to get an absentee ballot when planning to be out of town during an election.
